An ardent legal professional with over a decade, Mr.Aditya Pratap has earned his name in the legal fraternity.

Mr. Aditya Pratap is an alumni of the prestigious NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. He started his legal career after  joining the bar in 2013. Soon after his graduation he returned to Mumbai to pursue his career as a litigating Lawyer. Mr. Aditya Pratap established Aditya Pratap Law Offices in the year 2013 along with a web portal named LawZilla. His rich experience that spans across jurisdictions involving both, civil and criminal law, include Hon’ble Supreme Court, Bombay High Court, City Civil and Sessions Court, Magistrates Courts as well as National Green Tribunal covering a broad legal spectrum.  His views on current issues are frequently featured by the National media in the form of columns and interviews with broad media coverage of the cases he argues. 

 An award winner for the Best Legal Advisor at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival’18 held in Mumbai, Mr. Pratap is passionate for voluntary service. He, as a trustee has  driven RannSamar Foundation, a charitable trust conducting numerous social welfare and legal awareness programs in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh to dizzy heights.

 Mr. Aditya Pratap also writes diverse articles on Real Estate, Infrastructure and Environment Law which include Accommodation Times, Housing.com, Track2Realty and Down To Earth (Centre for Science and Environment), and TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute). 

Mr.Aditya Pratap has been invited as a Speaker at numerous conferences and seminars on law and allied issues. To name a few, he was a speaker at the Real Estate Roundtable organised by Track2Media in Mumbai on 6th October, 2017 to discuss the housing sector in the post-RERA era.   

Some of the pioneering cases Mr. Aditya Pratap appeared are 

  1. Before the National Green Tribunal Principal Bench , New Delhi where he was appealing against the grant of Environmental Clearance to a building project in Mumbai. The bench concurred with Mr. Aditya’s contention that Environmental norms were being flouted by the builder. 
  2. Mr. Aditya Pratap has filed a PIL for allowing common citizens to outside food items into movie theatres and multiplexes, to which Maharashtra High Court inquired the government as to why the prices of food inside these institutions cannot be regulated instead. 
  3. Mr. Pratap evoked the ‘Polluter Pays Principle’ and put forth the irregularities in the project in the construction process. 
  4. Mr. Aditya Pratap,in a Writ Petition filed before the Bombay High Court brought attention to the Builder’s non-observance in paying the water dues to the Municipal Corporation leading to a disrupted water supply to 128 slum dwellers. 

Having a panaromic approach to public welfare, indeed his name is never old news. Sincerity and commitment with consistent efforts is Advocate Pratap’s recipe to his success in legal fraternity.
